About Boise Cotillion
Cotillion is more than a dance – It’s a foundation for lifelong confidence. Founded in 1998 by Denise Hodges, Boise Cotillion has welcomed more than 3,000 children from across the Treasure Valley. Designed for students in 4th–9th grade. Now owned and directed by Natalie Gallegos, Boise Cotillion offers monthly themed events from September through April for grades 2nd-12th! We combine social etiquette instruction with guided dance practice in a fun, age-appropriate setting.
Cotillion helps children build confidence, kindness, and respect through real-life social experiences. Students learn polite introductions, gracious behavior, and proper etiquette while enjoying music, movement, and time with friends. Each event builds on the last, allowing skills to grow naturally through practice.
Partners are thoughtfully arranged and rotate throughout the evening, giving each child the chance to interact with many peers in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Traditional and popular dances are taught, dress is semi-formal or themed, and all events are fully supervised by experienced instructors, staff, live DJ and parent chaperones.
Above all, Boise Cotillion is about helping children feel comfortable, confident, and prepared in social settings — while having fun, making new friends, and creating lasting memories.
